Yass Smaali is a singer/songwriter/composer, originally from Paris but now living in Belgium. He participated in the first season of The Voice. He auditioned with 'The Lazy Song' by Bruno Mars and chose Natalia as his coach. In the liveshows she performed 'The Most Beautiful Girl in the World' by Prince, which is featured on the official The Voice album. Other songs he performed were 'How Will I Know' by Whitney Houston, 'When I Get You Alone' by Robin Thicke and 'Pour que tu m’aimes encore' by Céline Dion. He was eliminated in the last round before the final. In 2014, he participated in Eurosong, the national selection which selects the Belgian entry for the Eurovision Song Contest. He auditioned with 'L'oiseau et l'enfant' by Marie Myriam.
